When bringing an animal to MLSOH, you should first call Sandy at (765-) 585-5244. Use a tote with a lid to capture the animal like a bug in a cup with a piece of paper. Make sure the animal can breathe. If you don’t have a tote and lid available, use a sweatshirt, towel, or anything that you have on hand, and wearing gloves, wrap the animal up. Again, make sure it can breathe. Keep it warm, in a dark and quiet place. Do not attempt to feed it until you speak with a rehabber! Many well-intentioned people have fed the wrong foods, with the wrong instruments at the wrong time, and that can equal death! Then bring it to MLSOH. If you need advice call us and we can walk you through it.
